FARMINGTON – Mary Jeannette Condon, 76, died Oct. 24, 2009. At the time of her death she was living at Sandy River Nursing Home, Farmington. She was born Oct. 4, 1933, daughter of the late Edward Michael and Rita Thelma (Grant) Splan. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, worked in a funny book factory and was a certified nurse’s aide. She is survived by her three children: daughters, Denise “Dee Dee” Soucy and her husband, Roger, of Livermore Falls, Deborah Mancini and her husband, David of Spring Hill, Fla., and son, Jeffrey Condon of Moodus Conn.; six grandchildren, Roger Soucy Jr., Shawn Soucy, Joshua Soucy, Tobias Soucy, Christopher Condon and Tiffany Mancini; seven great-grandchildren, Haley, Owen, Alex, Logan, Shawn Jr., Vanessa and Caleb Soucy; a brother, Herbert Splan and his wife, Patsy, of Oakfield; sister-in-law, Ruby Marquis and her son, Leo, of East Hampton, Conn.; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Carroll D. Condon; four brothers, Frank Splan, Aubrey Splan Sr., Ronald Splan and Michael “Eddie Boy” Splan; four sisters, Barbara (Splan) Condon, Cecelia (Splan) Jandreau, Annie (Splan) McGraw and Alta (Splan) Hardy. Friends may call 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Sterling Lawrence officiating. Interment will be at Knowles Corner Cemetery.
