BROOKSVILLE – Vaughn S. Grindle, 65, died Oct. 23, 2009, at his residence. He was born Dec. 3, 1943, in Castine, son of Lloyd S. and Katherine L. (Gray) Grindle. He attended school in Brooksville and graduated from George Stevens Academy, Blue Hill, in 1962. Vaughn worked as a master plumber for many years. He enjoyed lobstering and many outdoor sports with his special canine friend, Charlie. He is survived by his son, Kyle Grindle and his mother, Susan Silva, of Easton, Mass.; sister, Sandra Clapp and husband, Peter, of Blue Hill; brother, Wayne Grindle and wife, Edna, of Brooksville; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son, Kacy, Aug. 11, 2001. Graveside services will be announced at a later date. Arrangements by Jordan-Fernald, 141 South St., Blue Hill.
