SEARSPORT – Everett Miles Gilmore Jr., 73, passed away Oct. 28, 2009, in Belfast. He was born March 30, 1936, in Belfast, son of Everett and Erna (Plummer) Gilmore Sr. Everett was in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, retiring in 1977. His hobbies were operating a ham radio. His call sign was WA1KKB. He also enjoyed traveling and camping at the lake with his wife and the company of his dog, Penny. He was predeceased by his parents; and brother, Rodney Gilmore. Everett is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Florence Gilmore of Searsport; his children, Brenda Gilmore and significant other, Mark Enberg, of Norwich, Conn., Brian Everett Gilmore and wife, Diane, of Hooper, Utah, and Carol Gilmore Mace and husband, Clifford, of Stockton Springs; his siblings, Ada Gordon and significant other, Edward Gotham, Leonard Gilmore and wife, Judy, Ruth Hamm and husband, Lloyd, Kenneth Gilmore and wife, Janice, Paul Gilmore and wife, Catherine, Maxine Seekins, and Sharon Lamb and significant other, Bud McCutchin; grandchildren, Daniel Burns, Meghan Burns and her significant other, Christopher Hall, Katelyn Gilmore, Colton Gilmore, Emily Gilmore, Kris Bowen and Kally Bowen; several nieces, nephews and extended family. Friends and family are invited to call 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast, where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2.
