BANGOR – Crystol A. Berry, 92, died Oct. 30, 2009, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born Aug. 28, 1917, in Brooks Village, to Inez Arline (Estes) and Earle M. Roberts. Crystol graduated from Morse Memorial High School, Brooks. She went on to a brief modeling career in New York City. She married Raymond “Red” Berry in 1942 and as many wives did during World War II, worked on assembly lines for Colt and for Vought Sikorsky, Waterbury, Conn. She and Red settled in the Waterville/Oakland area, where she lived alone after his death in 1986. Crystol was enjoyed for her sense of humor and good nature during her few years at Eastside Living Center. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband; and two brothers, Dale and Eugene Roberts. She is survived by a sister, Barbara Flood; several nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews. Graveside services will be announced at a later date.
