BANGOR – Sheldon R. Raymond, 55, died Oct. 30, 2009, at Hampden Meadow Hospice, after a long illness. He was born Nov. 26, 1953, in Bangor, the son of Joseph and Josephine (Harper) Raymond. Mr. Raymond was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and worked at Dysart’s restaurant for many years, first as a line cook, baker and eventually as a manager. He was proud of his attainment of the rank of Eagle Scout and was active in the Boy Scouts, serving as Scout Master and regional leader. He was a good husband and father, and a very hard worker. He is survived by one son, Brian C. Raymond and his wife, Patricia, of Suffolk, Va.; a daughter, Amanda B. Taylor and her husband, Bryan, of Milner, Ga.; three grandchildren, Patrick B. Raymond, Stephanie Long and Kristina Taylor; and three siblings, Terry and Diane Raymond of East Holden, Mary Rea of Auburn and Brenda Wright of Cummings, Ga. He also is survived by his former wife and the mother of his children, Cynthia A. Raymond of Gray. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at All Souls Church, Bangor.
