MARIPOSA, Calif., and MEDWAY – Robert Jacobs, 67, a nine-year resident of Mariposa, Calif., lost his battle with heart disease Oct. 5, 2009. He was born Oct. 9, 1941, in East Millinocket. Robert was an ordained minister with the Assembly of God. He was pastor of five churches throughout the last 33 years, with his last church being Mariposa Assembly of God, where he was senior pastor for nine years. He was predeceased by his daughter, Crystal; son, Robert Jr.; and his father, Richard Jacobs Sr. Robert is survived by his wife, Elaine (Cox) Jacobs of Mariposa, Calif.; son, Glenn and wife, Kristin, of Merced, Calif.; mother, Lonie Jacobs of East Millinocket; brothers, Dickie and wife, Linda Jacobs, of Vallejo, Calif., Dean and wife, Paula Jacobs, of Sherman, Ralph and wife, Lori Jacobs, and Steven and wife, Diana Jacobs, all of Medway; sisters, Dianne and husband, Don Swallow, Joanne and husband, Larry McDonald, and Colleen and husband, Harold Smith, all of Medway; four grandchildren, Grant, Daniel, Nathan and Robert III; and his former daughter-in-law, Veronica of Missouri. Visitation for Robert was held Oct. 8 at Mariposa Assembly of God with the funeral after the visitation. Burial was at Mariposa Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Whitton Family Funeral Service, Merced, Calif.
