LINCOLN – Clara M. Chessie, 74, died Nov. 9, 2009, at her son’s home in New Hampshire. She was born Sept. 13, 1935, in McAdam, New Brunswick, the daughter of Lloyd and Stella (Trask) MacDonald. Clara enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Fearman “Tom” Chessie and his wife, Karen, of Newport, Philip “Sibby” Chessie of Vallejo, Calif., Joan Whittier and her husband, Bob, of Barefoot Bay, Fla., David Chessie and his fianc?e, Jamie Mahar, of Lincoln, and Jim Chessie and his wife, Evelyn, of Bedford, N.H.; grandchildren, Abby, April, Todd, Annie, Bobbie Lynn, Daniel, Derrick, Jeff and Joe; many special great-grandchildren; sister, Diane Thompson of Fredericton, New Brunswick; brother-in-law, Dual Chessie and his wife, Barbara; sisters-in-law, Theresa Little, Margaret Gulliver, Velma and Ken White, and Pauline Chessie; many nieces and nephews; and a special lifelong friend, Hazel Vale. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Fearman Chessie. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, with the Rev. Myles Cyr officiating. Interment will be at Lincoln Cemetery. Those who wish may make donations to the American Heart Association. Donations may be left at the funeral home.
