BANGOR WATER DISTRICT Assistant Engineer The Bangor Water District is seeking an assistant engineer based at its State Street facility in Bangor (7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. M-F). Under the direction of the District Engineer, this position will manage the utility’s paper and electronic facility records, serve as a technical contact for the public on water line projects, manage the District’s safety program, prepare estimates and technical drawings for utility work, and provide on-site inspection of contractors. A bachelor’s degree in CE, ME, or EE – or the equivalent – is required, as well as computer proficiency including GIS. Work experience in engineering, waterworks, or construction is preferred. Maine Class IV water operator’s treatment and distribution system licenses are required within three years of hire. Position serves on weekend and holiday on-call rotation.
