LEVANT – Robert “Bob” E. Young, 69, died Nov. 21, 2009, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Aug. 29, 1940, in Bangor, the son of Edward V. and Nancy M. (Royal) Young. Bob served his country in the U.S. Army, 1957-1959. He was a huge Red Sox fan. He is survived by his wife, Olive; sons, Jeff and Rob Young; five grandchildren; a sister, Diane Davis; a sister-in-law, Delores Dow and husband, Butch; a stepson, Steve Newman; an aunt, Carolyn Young; a niece, Tracy Whitten; a nephew, Allen Cassidy; good friends, Stephen and Jill Galen, Jim and Kathy Galen, Lila Curtis, and many other friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Rachel Leach. The family thanks all the wonderful staff in intensive care unit at Eastern Maine Medical Center for the wonderful care and especially Marie and Miranda. Services will be private for the family.
