FORT KENT – Ernest Voisine, 87, died peacefully Nov. 24, 2009, at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born April 13, 1922, in Fort Kent, the son of Albert Joseph and Yvonne (Daigle) Voisine. Ernest was a past member of Fort Kent Knights of Columbus Council No. 1934. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, dancing and playing cards with his friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Sylvia Toussaint, in 1987; two daughters, Nancy and Lisa; his son, Gerald; and one grandson, Mark Voisine. He is survived by his special companion, Viola Caron of Fort Kent; two daughters, Norma Jean Charette and Diane Paradis, both of Wallagrass; seven sons, Raymond Voisine of Biddeford, James Voisine of Winterville, Ernest Voisine Jr. of Bristol, Conn., Normand Voisine of Soldier Pond, David Voisine and Dana Voisine, both of Belleview, Fla., and Dale Voisine of Dania Beach, Fla.; 24 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; four brothers, Babe, Lawrence, Roland and Reynald; five sisters, Verna Roy, Annette Voisine, Joan Michaud, Jeannette Willie and Jackie Norwood; many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday until time of service at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Soldier Pond. Committal service will be after at the parish cemetery.
