BANGOR and ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Vivian M. (Ware) King German, 88, passed away peacefully Nov. 21, 2009, at a Bangor health care facility, after a long illness. She was born June 6, 1921, in St. Petersburg, Fla., the daughter of Harry F. and Maude (Archer) Ware. Vivian graduated from Tifton High School, Tifton, Ga., Class of 1938. For many years she worked as a licensed cosmetologist. Vivian enjoyed fishing, watching sports, decorating, dancing, crocheting and shopping and enjoyed a good game of cards. She was a kind, proud and fun-loving wife, mother and grandmother, and had a great sense of humor. More than anything she loved and adored her family. She is survived by her children, Debra Ewing and husband, Chris, of Bangor, and Sherry Wells and husband, Gary, of Grafton, Mass.; one grandson, Chris Binder of Boston; the father of her children, William C. King; and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Henry F. German. A celebration of her life will be held 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor.
