Correction Notice WALTER R. MARTIN SR. ALTON – Walter Robert Martin Sr., 72, passed away Nov. 24, 2009, at a Bangor health care facility. He was born May 28, 1937, son of Walter Richard and Olga (Bronick) Martin. Walter was born in Morristown, N.J., and graduated from Morristown High School. He loved being a bartender and was one for many years. Walter then went on to start up his own lawn care business before he retired. Walter is survived by his two sons, Walter “Bobby” Martin Jr. and Lenard Martin, both of New Jersey; his two sisters, Shirley Frazier and her husband, William, of Maine and Judy Howell and her husband, Grant, of Pennsylvania; and his brother, Bruce Martin and his wife, Pam, of New Jersey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Walter was predeceased by his parents. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at Alton Cemetery, Route 16, Alton. Services entrusted to Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town.
