BANGOR and GOULDSBORO – David T. Aston, 89, passed away quietly Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, at a Bangor health care facility. Col. Aston, retired, was born Dec. 14, 1919, in Wilmington, Del., the son of Thomas and Eda (Rarick) Aston. Military graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, at the Aston family cemetery, Gouldsboro Point Road, Gouldsboro, with Chaplain Richard M. Dickinson, lieutenant colonel, U.S. Air Force, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial donations be made in support of Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, JROTC, program at Bangor High School, 885 Broadway, Bangor ME 04401.
