BANGOR – Clifford Irving Worcester Sr., 77, died Nov. 27, 2009, surrounded by his loving family at a Bangor hospital after a long illness. He was born May 7, 1932, in Bangor, the son of Carroll H. and Bessie (Young) Worcester. Clifford graduated from John Bapst High School, Class of 1953. He was employed by the city of Bangor School Department for 32 years and by Hall Security for 15 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, dart ball, genealogy and horseshoes. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary (Candellari) Worcester; children, Terri Taylor and husband, Eddie, of Kenduskeag, Suzanne Wendzel and husband, Scott, of Southwick, Mass., Clifford Worcester Jr. and wife, Cheryl, of Dedham and Jeff Worcester and wife, Kelly, of Levant; siblings, Sylvia Bouchard, Cathy Wyles, Eugenia Thomas, Wayne, Eddie and Robert Worcester, and James Tracy; 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and dear friends, Murchie Martin and Chris and Marianne Montemurro. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Merton, Leslie, Stanley and Charlie Worcester. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, with Pastor Arnold Schnell, pastor of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, officiating.
