PAYSON, Ariz., and EAGLE LAKE – Annette Pelletier, 91, passed away peacefully Nov. 23, 2009, in Payson, Ariz., after a long illness. She was born April 8, 1918, at Eagle Lake, the daughter of Adolfe and Evelyn (Chasse) Cyr. Annette enjoyed life and passed many hours fishing in St. Froid Lake with her husband, children and grandchildren. She spent many days crocheting baby sets, and knitting mittens, socks, booties and bonnets for her family and friends. She loved to play cards and tell many jokes. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She also traveled to visit her children wherever they were all throughout the country. She was even on the Price is Right in 1984 and won the showcase. She is survived by her five children, Maurice Pelletier, James Pelletier and his wife, Mary, all of Texas, Allen Pelletier and his wife, Linda, of Arizona, Janice Cyr and her husband, Clarence, of Medway, and Jeanette Schurman and her husband, Robert, of Presque Isle; two brothers, Conrad Cyr and his wife, Eva, of Vermont, and Camille Cyr of Eagle Lake; and 10 grandchildren, Glenn and Mark Pelletier, Lori Colbert, Cheryl Keresey, Jeffrey and Jonathan Cyr, Keith Schurman, Kathy Gaines, Chad Pelletier and Barbara Nehrbass, Richard and Georgia Sumner. Annette enjoyed 17 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Antoine Pelletier of Arizona. Annette was predeceased by her husband, Leo J. Pelletier, in 1983; a daughter-in-law, Irene Pelletier; and seven brothers and sisters, Vital, Caroline, Irene, Claudia, Dora, Reginald and Leonette. Friends may call 9-11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent, where the rosary and the Rev. James Nadeau will make remarks. A committal service will be noon Friday at St Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Eagle Lake.
