CHERRYFIELD – Donna (Nelson) Young, loving wife of Ray Young; and daughter of the late Lawrence and Georgia (Merritt) Nelson, died Dec. 9, 2009, in Ellsworth. Donna devoted 30 years to Milbridge Elementary School, cooking her infamous school lunches. This is where she was the happiest. She has many wonderful friends who loved her dearly. She is survived by her children, Thomas Martin Jr. of Cherryfield, Ellen Cirone and husband, Dean, of South Addison, Janis Crawley and husband, Terry, of Providence, R.I., and Lawrence Martin and wife, Tammy, of Milbridge; loving sisters, Marita Tenan and husband, Charles, Jessie Santerre and husband, Louie, Leta Mathews and husband, Foster, and Yvonne Sinclair and partner, Leroy Luce; one loving and devoted brother, Ronnie Nelson; special nephew, Andy Santerre of Harrisburg, N.C.; grandchildren, Jeremy Cirone and wife, Ashley, and Joshua Cirone and wife, Laura; great-grandchildren, Logan, Hunter, Parker, Diamond and Summer, all of South Addison; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her younger brother, Gary Nelson. At Donna’s request, there will be no visitation.
