BANGOR and RICHARDSON, Texas – Jacqueline Leah (Rittal) McLean, died peacefully Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, at her home in Richardson, Texas. She was born Feb. 25, 1944, in Bangor, the daughter of James E. and Bernadette M. (Poulin) Rittal. Jacqueline was a graduate of Bangor High School and Husson University. Until shortly before her death, she was employed at Plano Vision Care. Jacqueline delighted in nurturing others. This was reflected in her role as wife and mother. In her career and as a volunteer Jacqueline found joy in her work with people of all ages with cognitive and emotional disabilities. She was predeceased by her son, James P. McLean, M.D., in 2008. She is survived by her husband, James D. McLean; their son, Justin D. McLean and his wife, Marlena; one sister, Gloria M. (Rittal) Meucci and her husband, Timothy and their sons, Domonic and Merico; two brothers, James J. Rittal and his wife, Karen and their son, Aaron, and Thomas J. Rittal and his wife, Bonnie and their daughter, Sarah; and a large extended family. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 6-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, York Street, Bangor.
