MILFORD – Geneva Rose (Dickinson) Roy, 78, died Dec. 15, 2009, surrounded by her loving family at a Bangor health care facility. She was born June 21, 1931, in Bradley, the daughter of Leslie and Adelia (Brooks) Dickinson. Geneva was a loving mother of seven children, and devoted her life to raising them and taking care of her husband, James Roy. She loved reading, crossword puzzles and animals. She was a member of St. Ann’s Church, Bradley. She will be sadly missed and is survived by her loving husband, James Roy of Milford; and her children, James Roy Jr. and wife, Merla, Karon Roy, Phillip Roy, Chris Roy and Andy LeBreton, Lisa Bird and husband, Daniel, Troy Roy and wife, Carol, and Michelle Dupuis and husband, Dan. She is also survived by a half sister; 12 grandchildren, Andy, Jenny, Lance, Courtney, Justin, Torie, Nicholas, Kaitlin, Dylan, Noah, Dakota and Alec; and one great-grandchild, Trinity; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one half brother. Contributions in her memory may be made to a local library or local animal shelter. Services entrusted to Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town.
