DEDHAM – Elizabeth A. (Walsh) Roberts, 79, wife of Edwin L. Roberts Jr., died unexpectedly Dec. 16, 2009, at her home on Phillips Lake. She was born May 21, 1930, in South Brooksville, the daughter of Dwight and Genevieve (Bibber) Walsh. Elizabeth was a devoted and loving mother and homemaker who demonstrated daily her unconditional love for her husband, children and grandchildren, and who loved the times spent with her family. She loved to write poetry. Elizabeth was a member of First Congregational Church, Brewer, Order of the Eastern Star, Aldworth Chapter No. 39, Milo and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie No. 3177, Brewer. Surviving are her beloved husband of 59 years of Dedham; six children, Edwin III and his wife, Luci, of Petersburg, Va., Sharrlyn and her husband, Jerry Parsons, of Carmel, Janice and her husband, Jerry Forrest, of Brewer, Jeffrey Sr. and his wife, Rita, of Clifton, David of Brewer, and Stephen Sr. and his wife, Jeanette, of Hermon; 14 grandchildren, Raymond Fox, Jodi Martin, Tonya Adams, Bobbi-Jo Nugent, Jannifer McNaughton, Jaime Elizabeth and Peter Parsons, Jeremy, Jared Edwin and James Forrest, Kellie Blais, Jeffrey Roberts Jr., Stephen Roberts Jr. and Miranda Rose Roberts; 13 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Lorraine P. Arnold of Pushaw Lake; a sister-in-law, Betty Lou McHale and her husband, James, of Brewer; and an uncle, Charles A. Bibber Jr. and his wife, Beverly, of South Harpswell. She was predeceased by her sisters, Ruby Doughty and June Lowry. She will be missed by her dachshund “children,” Bogart and Willie. Relatives and friends may visit 7-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer. A service honoring Elizabeth’s life will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at Community of Christ Church, 126 Pierce Road, Brewer, with the Revs. Grace Bartlett and Judy Ahles, presiding.
