LIMESTONE – Leona Fitzsimmons, 86, the beloved wife of the late Floyd Albert Fitzsimmons, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009, at her residence. She was born Nov. 27, 1923, in St. Quentin, New Brunswick, the daughter of Arthur and Grace (Bourdage) Soucy. Leona was a full-time homemaker until her family was raised, then worked for Interstate, Fort Fairfield. She is survived by her eight children, Harold of Presque Isle, Marjorie and her husband, Doug Andrews, of Addison, Ala., Sherry and her husband, John Ardine, of Northford, Conn., Gary and his wife, Brenda, of Limestone, Clayton and his wife, Helen, of Limestone, Linda of Limestone, Earl and his wife, Donna, of Shalimar, Fla., and Robert of Limestone; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, 10 brothers and sisters, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Leona was predeceased by four brothers and sisters. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 24, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Limestone, with Father Aaron Damboise, celebrant. A reception will be held after services in the church fellowship hall. Interment will be in the spring at St. Louis Cemetery.
