PEMBROKE – Marguerite E. (Huntoon) Lund, 71, died Dec. 20, 2009, surrounded by her family at a Bangor hospital. Marguerite was born May 28, 1938, to Phillip and Eliza (Willey) Huntoon in South Royalston, Mass. Marguerite married Fred A. Lund Jr., June 19, 1959, in Suffield, Conn. She worked for many years in laundry service as a steam presser then in home health care from 1972 to 1988, when she retired and moved to Pembroke. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 59, Pembroke and Pembroke Historical Society. Marguerite enjoyed traveling and doing craft projects, but most of all she enjoyed time spent with family. In addition to her parents, Marguerite was predeceased by six brothers, Edwin, Raymond, James, Robert, William and Richard Huntoon. She is survived by her husband, Fred; two daughters, Pamela Carroll and her husband, Timothy, of Eastport, and Darci Ryan, of Bangor; a son, Eric Lund of Georgia; four sisters, Susan Kopyscinski of Agawam, Mass., Joyce Martin and her husband, George, of Feeding Hills, Mass., Mary Lou Towle of Springfield, Mass., and Ruby Crosby of Agawam, Mass.; two brothers, Thomas Huntoon and his wife, Barbara, of Chester, Mass., and Frederick Huntoon and his wife, Charlotte, of Hinsdale, Mass.; two special grandsons, Brad and his wife, Shauna, and John and his wife, Brandi, who held a very special bond with Marge, as her caregiver and friend; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a very special great-grandson, Alan. Friends may call 1-2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, at Mays Funeral Home-Flagg Chapel, 72 High St., Eastport, where a funeral service will begin 2 p.m. with Pastor Bernie Hammond officiating.
