PITTSFIELD – Amelia Nancy Field, infant daughter, died peacefully Dec. 21, 2009, at her home. She was born Sept. 2, 2009, in Waterville, the daughter of Joshua N. Field and Sarah N. Dickinson. Amelia’s days were spent at home with mommy, laughing, playing and eventually falling asleep in her arms. She loved to be held and wanted to be held by everyone. She was a very happy baby who loved her glow worm at night. She was very content to swing and be in her bouncy seat. She loved to look up at the ceiling fan and feel the motion of the wind. It calmed her. Her favorite time of the day was daddy-daughter time. Joshua worked second shift and Amelia knew his schedule by heart! She would come alive at 10 p.m. and expect to have all of daddy’s attention to herself and then he would put her to bed for the night. Amelia was dearly loved by her family and will be lovingly missed. She is survived by her parents, Joshua Field and Sarah Dickinson of Pittsfield; her grandparents, Doug and Nancy Dickinson of Dover, N.H., and Michael and Rosie Fann of Hartland; her great-grandparents, John R. Thomas Jr., of Bosque Farms, N.M., Nina Burrell Klee of South Bend, Ind., and Ann Dickinson of Parrott, Va.; a special uncle, David Dickinson of Portsmouth, R.I.; and many special aunts and uncles. She was predeceased by a great-grandfather, David Dickinson. The family will receive friends 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, at Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, 191 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, at St. Joseph’s Church, 150 Central Ave., Dover, N.H. Interment will be immediately after at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dover Point Road, Dover, N.H. After the committal, the family invites you back to the church fellowship hall for a mercy meal.
