FORT KENT – Beulah (Saucier) Bouchard, 75, died Dec. 23, 2009, at her residence. She was born Dec. 31, 1933, the daughter of Rene and Mattie (Voisine) Saucier. Beulah worked as postmaster at Soldier Pond for 35 years. She was a member of Ladies of St. Anne, Fort Kent, and the Hospital Guild. She also belonged to Prayer Shawl Ministry and volunteered in the oncology department at Northern Maine Medical Center for many years. Her favorite pastimes were crocheting, crosswords and making puzzles. Soon after retiring, she especially enjoyed working at Lake Road Grocery, Soldier Pond. She is survived by her four children, Dean and his wife, Donna, of Bonita Springs, Fla., Greg and his wife, Brenda, of Southington, Conn., Pearl Bouchard and her companion, Allen Chamberland, of Fort Kent, and Dennis and his wife, Patty, of Eagle Lake; 10 grandchildren, Brad, Crystal, Wendy, Kari, Justin, Joshua, Sarah, Kelcey, Nicole and Abby; four great-grandchildren, Shyla, Cassidy, Emma and Wyatt; two brothers, Reginald Saucier of Arkansas, and Louis and his wife, Emily Saucier, of Presque Isle; two sisters, Bernice and her husband, Roland Dumond, of Fort Kent, and Doris Belanger of North Carolina; two stepbrothers, Gerald and Roger Dunn; five stepsisters, Jacqueline Betcher, Thelma Rice, Fances and Cecile Dunn, and Marian Bourgoin; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joel Bouchard, in 1968; and three brothers, Hubert, Wilmer and Clarence Saucier. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 1 p.m. until the time of service Monday at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 3 p.m. Monday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Spring burial will be held May 17, 2010, at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Soldier Pond.
