MILLINOCKET – Daniel B. Brigalli Jr., 78, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009, at a Millinocket hospital. Danny was born Feb. 16, 1931, in Millinocket, the son of Daniel B. Brigalli and Annie Rinaldi. Danny attended Millinocket schools going to work at Great Northern at age 15, the majority of his time being spent working in the yard as a heavy equipment operator, many times working 16-hour days. He loved his camp and spending time there with his family. He loved going for rides to look for wildlife, but Danny was happiest staying around camp where he could enjoy his love for animals. Although camp was his pride and joy, he was extremely proud of his family, whom he loved providing for with fresh produce from his garden. Danny is survived by four children, Walter L. Brigalli and his wife, Sharon, of Glenburn, Annie Fortnam and her husband, Ken, of Windham, Danny B. Brigalli III of Millinocket, and Carmen J. Brigalli of Millinocket; four grandchildren, Tony Brigalli of Florida, Mandy Brigalli of Bangor, Chris Fortnam of Casco, and Jenny Fortnam of Windham; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Angie Brigalli, Mary Hannon and Olga DiBona, all of Massachusetts; brother, Tim Brigalli of Ohio; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Danny was predeceased by his wife, Arlene; his brother, Carmie; and his sister, Phyllis Doyle. Friends are invited to visit with the family 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church of Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, 19 Colby St., Millinocket, with the Rev. Joel Cyr, pastor, presider.
