PORTLAND, Maine — Seven Maine ski areas are offering free ski and snowboard lessons and equipment packages as part of a national initiative promoting January as “Learn a Snow Sports Month.”
In Maine, the Camden Snow Bowl, Lost Valley, Mt. Abram, Saddleback, Shawnee Peak, Sugarloaf and Sunday River are offering more than 150 free learn-to-ski packages on a first-come, first-served basis. The promotion is good during the week of Jan. 4-10.
To participate, people have to register through the Ski Maine Association Web site.
