BATH – Mildred (Harris) Ouellette died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, surrounded by her children and family at Mid Coast Hospital, Brunswick. She was born Aug. 30, 1920, in Washburn, daughter of the late Irving and Annie (Anderson) Harris. She was one of seven children and attended Caribou High School. Mildred shared 49 years of marriage with Romeo R. Ouellette, who died in 1987. She worked for many years for J.J. Newbury, Caribou, and was a member of Gray Memorial United Methodist Church. She lived most of her life in Caribou and most recently resided in Bath and was a member of Bath United Methodist Church. Mildred was a woman of deep faith. She loved her family and they were the center of her life. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by three sons, Terry in 1965, David and Robert, both in 1972. She is survived by four children, Irving Ouellette and his wife, Brenda, of Brunswick, Sandra Grant of Norton, Mass., Wayne Ouellette and his wife, Helen, of Griswold, Conn., and Douglas Ouellette of Glenburn. She has 11 grandchildren, Lisa Abbott of Belfast, Jonathan Ouellette of Bowdoinham, Rebecca Ouellette-Morton of Hinesberg, Vt., Jeffery Grant of Dexter, Mich., Steven Grant of Clinton, Mass., Ryan Ouellette of LaCosta, Calif., Marcie Sadowsky of Fallbrook, Calif., Vanda Winakor of East Haddam, Conn., Thomas Ouellette of Meridan, Conn., Kelly Ouellette of Glenburn and Romeo Ouellette of Glenburn; 19 great-grandchildren, 22 nieces and nephews. A service of remembrance will be held May 15 at Bath United Methodist Church. A private graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Caribou, at the convenience of the family.
