LINCOLN – Sandra (Harkins) Plourde, 63, passed away Jan. 2, 2010, with her family by her side, as well as her best friend and companion, Stewart Hurd. She was born Oct. 5, 1946, in Island Falls, the daughter of Floyd Harkins Sr. and Glenda (Osnoe) Campbell. She is survived by a son, Norman Plourde Jr. and his fiancee, Anna Hunt, and her sons, Brandon and Bronson Merry; a son, Jeffrey Plourde, his wife, Heidi, and their three sons, Keegan, Kaiden and Kameron; a daughter, Melissa Plourde; sisters, Judy Murchison and her husband, Reginald, and Lucille Folster and her husband, Lanny; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph, Floyd Jr. and Hilary Harkins. Sandra devoted her life to raising her children and enjoyed cooking, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was blessed to have found such a dedicated companion in Stewart Hurd. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday. Spring interment will be at Lincoln Cemetery.
