BREWER – Shirley Dooey passed away Jan. 2, 2010, in Brewer, with her husband, Peter, at her side. She was a registered nurse at Eastern Maine Medical Center for 29 years. In addition to her husband Peter, she is survived by her daughters, Holly and Bridget, both of Brewer; her sisters, Bette Ellet of Illinois, Linda Merrill of Orrington and Deborah Rowe of Holden; and her brother, Philip Winchester of Orland. She was predeceased by her brothers, Edward and James Winchester. There will be a graveside service this summer.
