MILLINOCKET – Charlene I. Pease, wife of W. Eugene Pease, left Katahdin Health Care to live with the Lord Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010. She was surrounded by those who loved her as she passed away. Harold E. Fiske was one happy man March 11, 1936, when his wife, Mildred Montgomery Fiske, presented him with a daughter, Charlene Isabelle Fiske, born in Millinocket. She grew up in East Millinocket, where she attended grade schools and graduated from Schenck High School in 1954. She received a diploma from Husson College in secretarial science in 1955. Charlene was employed for many years at Northeast Bank. She had many hobbies including, camping, knitting, sewing and family gatherings. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Gene to many destinations; her favorite places being Aruba and Tokyo. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Roland Leveille Sr. She has two children, Christine A. Allen, and Robert R. Leveille Jr. and wife, Catherine. She is also survived by her second husband, W. Eugene Pease, whom she married in 1977; three stepchildren, Judith E. Knowlton and her husband, Douglass, Mark N. Pease and fiancee, Dianne, and Kathy J. Bishop and her husband, John; two grandchildren, Brian Allen and Elizabeth Leveille; and eight stepgrandchildren, Seth Knowlton, Jesse Knowlton, Lisa Knowlton Morton, Tyler, Hannah, and Nolan Pease, Katie and Nicholas Bishop. The family extends sincere gratitude and thanks to all the staff at Katahdin Health Care and Dr. Jenkins for the excellent care of both Charlene and Gene. Friends are invited to visit with the family 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, with funeral services beginning 3 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Fitzgerald officiating. Spring interment will be at South Buxton Cemetery, Bar Mills.
