SMYRNA – Judith Ann (Kelley) Anderson, 66, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Jan. 11, 2010, with her loving family by her side. She was born Jan. 26, 1944, in Island Falls, the daughter of Emerald and Ruby (Fowler) Kelley. She graduated from Oakfield High in 1962, attended Ricker College, then worked in Portland and Presque Isle for Union Mutual Insurance Co. She worked at Southern Aroostook Community School for 23 years as secretary to the superintendent, retiring in 2002. Judy married Joseph Harley Anderson, July 2, 1965. Judy and Joe enjoyed years of traveling with their fifth-wheel camper, numerous cruises, a trip to Europe, building their dream home and their special grandchildren who lived next door. The children loved to “help” Nana work in her flowers, wash her car and enjoy the great snacks in her pantry. Nana’s help with children’s appointments and therapy will be greatly missed. She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her, including her husband of 44 years, Joe; sons, Alan and his wife, Pamela; son, Adam and his wife, Eliza and their children, Zak, Nick, Lilly, Savannah and Isaiah; mother, Ruby Kelley of Madigan Estates, Houlton; brother, James Kelley and his wife, Linda, of Florida; a very special sister, Jane and husband, Wayne Lenentine, of Houlton; nieces and a nephew. She was predeceased by her father, Emerald Kelley, in 2002; and a son, Troy, 2, in 1971. To Jane Zimmerman and Terry Lyons of Hospice of Aroostook we give our heartfelt thanks for their support and loving care. God blesses you both. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Oakfield Baptist Church with Pastor Andy Harthorne officiating. An informal luncheon will be held after the service at Smoki Haulers Snowmobile Clubhouse. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of Aroostook, 2 Water St., Suite 1, Houlton, ME 04730.
