OTIS – Gertrude “Trudy” May Fox, 83, died Jan. 13, 2010, at her home. She was born Sept. 16, 1926, in Ellsworth, the daughter of Harry L. and Marion I. (Mitchell) Card. Trudy worked for many years at Frenchman’s Bay/ Day’s Inn, Bar Harbor, as a housekeeper. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going on rides and eating out. She is survived by a daughter, Loretta Mae Mitchell and husband, Clyde, of Otis; a brother, G. Thurston Card and wife, Sharon, of Flanders Pond, Sullivan, and Dunedin, Fla.; eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren; special friends, Esther and Sonny Curtis; many nieces and nephews. Trudy was predeceased by three brothers, two sisters, a great-great-granddaughter; and her companion of 30 years, Eddie Griffin in 1995.
