HOULTON – John Harley London, 61, died Jan. 13, 2010, at his home. He was born Dec. 21, 1948, in Houlton, the son of Harley John and Pauline (Parks) London. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Darlene (Spellman) London of Houlton; four sisters, Charlene Gallop of Houlton, Jean Chase of Hampden, Trudy and Gary Gallop, and Margaret and Kevin Fowler, all of Hermon; two brothers, Ronald London of Hodgdon and Charles London of Bangor; one sister-in-law, Judy London of Smyrna; several nieces and nephews, especially Douglas London, whom he hunted and fished with; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; and one brother, Ralph. Friends may call 1-2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where funeral services will begin 2 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Hatch officiating. Spring interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cary Library, 107 Main St., Houlton, ME 04730.
