GUILFORD – Debra Ann Prescott passed away Jan. 17, 2010, at a Bangor hospital, after an unbelievable struggle with double pneumonia. Having suffered from rheumatoid arthritis, numerous hospitalizations and hundreds of doctor’s visits, Debi is finally free from pain. She was born Dec. 2, 1963, in Belleville, N.J., daughter of Jonathan and Lois (Van Dyke) Prescott Sr. After working for Dr. Harold Sherman and graduating from Piscataquis Community High School, Debi started her studies of veterinarian medicine at the University of Puget Sound in Washington state, and had to forgo that dream due to her illness. After returning home she worked at numerous part-time jobs before becoming homebound. Debi and her mother, Lois, shared an extraordinary friendship throughout the years. She leaves a family of many who adored her, which includes her mother; and her brothers, Jon and Roxane (Hart) of Abbot, Daniel and his wife, Karen, of Minnesota and David and his fiancee, Lisa, of Bangor. She also leaves a loving grandmother, Elizabeth Van Dyke of Guilford; an aunt and uncle, Virginia and Eric Hinze and niece, Corinne, of Florida, and an aunt, Jean Prescott and friend, Marie, of Rhode Island. Debi was also blessed to have a beloved significant other, Marty Mower and his family, which includes his mother and father, Martin and Donna Mower; and Nana, Elizabeth Perkins, all of Guilford. Debi leaves the following nieces and nephews, Jaymi and husband, Dean Sprague, and Jerrica Prescott of Guilford, Christopher Prescott and his partner, Leigh, of Arizona, Joshua and his fiancee, Sherri, of New Jersey, Daniel and his partner, Misty, of Wisconsin, Airman David Prescott Jr. and his wife, Brittney, of Missouri, Miranda, Melyssa and Andrew of Stetson. She also leaves two great-nephews and three great-nieces. Debi was also happily anticipating the birth of another great-niece or great-nephew in August. Debi was predeceased by her father, John F. Prescott Sr.; and a special nephew, Jonathan F. Prescott III. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak St., Guilford, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Nancy Moore officiating.
