PROSPECT and FRANKFORT – Parker R. Philbrick passed away Jan. 14, 2010, at Penobscot Nursing Home. Parker is joining his wife, Edith, who passed away in November 2002. Parker was born March 10, 1918, in Thorndike. Parker and Edith lived in Prospect for 40 years, where he farmed and raised poultry. He married Edith, in 1942. He is survived by three children, Trueman and his wife, Connie, of Libby, Mont., Carolyn Brown of Verona Island, and Lewis Philbrick of Frankfort. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Rick and wife, Jamie, of Alaska and Tracy and husband, Rudy Johnson, California; three great-grandchildren, Yancey and Kegan Philbrick, and Kyle Johnson; and one great-great-granddaughter, Jordin Philbrick. Memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Jan. 20 at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast, with P. Norman Latone officiating. Burial will be in the spring at East Thorndike Cemetery.
