BELGRADE – Michael Frank Surdick Jr., 65, formerly of Old Town and Old Bridge, N.J., died unexpectedly Jan. 20, 2010, at his residence. He was born Sept. 9, 1944, in New Brunswick, N.J., a son of Michael F. Sr. and Emma A. (Sigmund) Surdick. Mike served his country honorably as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. A celebration of his life will be celebrated 6-9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at Resurrection Parish, Holy Family, Old Town. Immediately after the Mass all are invited to the parish hall for a light luncheon and continued fellowship. Spring burial with military honors will be conducted at Lawndale Cemetery, Old Town.
