OLD TOWN – Paul “Pee Wee” Robert Cote, 72, died Jan. 21, 2010, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Jan. 16, 1938, in Old Town, the son of Andrew and Mary Clara (Thibodeau) Cote. Paul was a lifelong member of Old Town Elks Club Lodge No. 1287. He loved playing cards. Paul was a very special and dearly loved pepe to his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Ronald Cote and wife, Rene, of West Columbia, Texas, Paul Cote Jr. of Milford and Rhonda Stormann and husband, Alan, of Old Town; 10 grandchildren, Alan, Misty, Larry, Kaci, Paul, Kassandra, Nicky, Jesse, Nancy and Alan; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Camille and George Cote; a special niece, Mary Dutton; several nieces and nephews, and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Marylou, in 1987; a son, Alan, in 1976; two brothers, Ronald and Arthur; and six sisters, Maddie, Theresa, Cecil, Bella, Alice and Anna. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25, at Parish of the Resurrection of the Lord, Holy Family Parish, 429 Main St., Old Town, with the Rev. Wilfred “Bill” Labbe, celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to a time of conversation and refreshments after the service at Holy Family Parish Hall. Interment will be in the spring at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Old Town. Because Paul was such a Red Sox fan, the family wishes to have gifts in his memory made to the Jimmy Fund, care of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7226.
