CARIBOU – Reginald J. Johndro, 68, died Jan. 21, 2010, at a local hospital after a brief illness. He was born Jan. 21, 1942, in Caribou, one of 16 children born to the late Adolphus and Annie (Page) Johndro. Mr. Johndro was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was also a former member of Knights of Columbus. He was most recently employed by Caribou School Department, where he served as custodian of Caribou Middle School for more than 40 years. He married Dorena (Belanger) Johndro, who predeceased him in April 2008. He is survived by his son, Rodney Johndro of Limestone; his daughter and son-in-law, Karen and James Wright of Pleasureville, Ky.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Barbara Johndro and Norman and Verna Johndro, all of Limestone; two sisters, Joan Johndro of Caribou and Cecile Stevens of Troy, N.Y.; two grandchildren, Austin Hilton and Timothy Wright; many nieces and nephews. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25, at Parish of the Precious Blood, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Father Raymond Morency officiating.
