VERO BEACH, Fla., and MILLINOCKET – John D. DiMarco, 57, passed away Jan. 25, 2010, from injuries received in a recent accident. He was born June 27, 1952, son of Asperino and Sally (Martell) DiMarco. John grew up in Millinocket and graduated from Stearns High School, Class of 1971. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman in both Maine and Florida. In addition to his parents of Hampden, John is survived by two daughters, Andrea Tapley and husband, William, of Lisbon, and Jennifer DiMarco and husband, Mark Misiura, of Greene; six grandchildren who will miss their Papa John, Seth and Emma Tapley, Isabella, Elliott, Oliver and Archer Misiura; two sisters, Julie Brown and husband, Ronald, of Millinocket, and Mary Jane Bryant of Winthrop; two brothers, Gary DiMarco and wife, Roxanne, of Gardiner, and David DiMarco and wife, Hilda, of Hermon; many special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Though large in stature, John was kind and gentle by nature. He was a friend to and of many and will be sadly missed by all, including his special friends in Florida. A memorial service in Maine will be held in John’s honor at a later date to be announced.
