SANGERVILLE and ETNA – Maxine E. McPhetres, 79, died Feb. 15, 2010, at Sebasticook Valley Hospital, Pittsfield. She was born July 11, 1930, in Parkman, daughter of Earl and Iva (Bartlett) McPhetres. Maxine enjoyed sports and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. She was predeceased by her husband, Philip W. McPhetres in 2004. She is survived by a son, Dale McPhetres of Colorado; a daughter, Brenda McPhetres of Connecticut; two grandchildren, Matthew and Erin McPhetres of Colorado; a stepgranddaughter, Wendy Tracy of Arizona; two brothers and their wives, Carl and Pat Grant, and Francis and Maxine Grant, all of Sangerville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak St., Guilford. Friends may call 8 a.m. until the time of service.
