PORTLAND, Maine — A second Maine man is due in court to answer charges in connection with the shooting death of a Portland man who was attending a party.
WMTW-TV says 21-year-old Moses Okot voluntarily went to the Portland police department on Thursday and met with detectives.
He was later charged in connection with the shooting death of 24-year-old Serge Mulongo Feb. 10 outside a city apartment building.
Last week, 24-year-old suspect Daudoit Butsitsi (dah-DOO’-et boot-SIT’-see), was arrested and charged with killing Mulongo. He appeared in court Tuesday and did not enter a plea. Butsitsi is being held without bail at the Cumberland County Jail.
Police have not suggested a motive for the shooting.
