SALISBURY COVE, BANGOR and BATON ROUGE, La. – Nancy Savage, 86, originally of Bangor and Salisbury Cove, died Dec. 14, 2009, in Baton Rouge, La. Nancy retired from the YWCA, Bangor, and then spent her time between her residence in West Palm Beach, Fla., and Salisbury Cove. Eventually due to health reasons Nancy was moved to Baton Rouge, La., and was looked after by her three nieces, Caroline Watson of Baton Rouge, La., Margaret Savage of Olney, Md., and Mary Ellen Savage of New Haven, Conn. Nancy was long considered “favorite aunt” by her three nieces. She will be missed and will always be remembered for how she lit up the room with her booming voice and bright spirit. Nancy offered so many of us great times and wonderful adventures. Nancy was predeceased by her brother, Charles A. Savage and his wife, Rose Ann Savage. She is survived by her brother, Lowell Savage of Atlanta, Ga. A burial service will take place Saturday, June 26, at Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Bangor YWCA.
