OLD TOWN – Kellie Jean Jackson, 43, passed away March 10, 2010, after a long illness. She was born Oct. 18, 1966, the daughter of Wayne Jackson and Betty Jackson White. Kellie graduated from Hampden Academy in 1985. She was an avid reader, a beautiful writer and a fighter for underdogs. She appreciated her family and friends, and showered them with love, gifts and needlework treasures. Even as she struggled with her battle, she always had a kind word or note for others. Kellie is survived by her mother, Betty; her soul mate and life partner of 19 years, Michael Mitchell; their six children, Robert and his wife, Laurel and their family, Damien and Chappy, Regan, Jessie and Emma; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is also survived by her lifelong friends, Melisa Hatch and Jessica Aldridge. Kellie was predeceased by her father, Wayne Jackson; her son, Nicholas; and her twins, Alan and Alexandria.
