STILLWATER – Carol Jean Sibley, 76, passed away March 14, 2010, at a Bangor health care facility with her loving family by her side. She was born April 17, 1933, the daughter of Harvey Muncey and Josephine (Gould) Muncey Tucker. Carol lived for her family. She loved being a grandmother and a great-grandmother. Christmas was Carol’s favorite time of year, and she enjoyed decorating her house top to bottom with her Christmas decorations. Many will miss her fudge and spaghetti that she was famous for. Carol is survived by her five children, Gary N. Sibley and his wife, Mary Ann, Terry Sibley, James “Jimmy” Sibley and his wife, Robin, Jeff Sibley and his wife, Vicki, and Lisa Overlock and her husband, Eddie; 10 grandchildren, Brandy Colley and her husband, Paul, Gary W. Sibley and his wife, Amanda, Anthony Shaffer, Chyna Sibley and her significant other, Matt Kelly, Regan Robson and her husband, Doug, Joshua Sibley and his significant other, Carol Ann Glidden, Jason Severance, Angela O’Leary, Ryan Overlock and Brittanie Overlock; eight great-grandchildren, Zack Henderson, Libby Colley, Matthew Sibley, Makayla Sibley, Mackenzie Robson, Cody Severance, Brianna O’Leary and Jacob O’Leary; three brothers, Mick Muncey, Bob Muncey and his wife, Mimmi, and Wimp Tucker and Linda; two sisters-in-law, Esther Young and Mary Sibley; and brother-in-law, Lawrence Sibley and his wife, Irene. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including three who were especially close to her, Sandra, Cynthia and Juke; and two very special cousins, Bunny and Nadine. In addition to her parents, Carol was predeceased by her beloved husband, Benjamin L. Sibley. Family and friends are invited to call 1 p.m. until the time of funeral service 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, with the Rev.
