NEWBURGH – Priscilla E. Appleby, 68, passed away peacefully March 15, 2010, at her home. Priscilla was born Oct. 13, 1941, in Belfast, daughter of the late Frederick Sr. and Inez (Morse) Knight Priscilla lived in Newburgh for much of her adult life. She worked out of the home while her children were in school, but enjoyed being a homemaker most. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all. Priscilla is survived by her children, Steve Appleby of Newburgh and his significant other, Rachel Cote and her son, Eric Greenleaf, of Brewer; her daughter, Diane Baily and her significant other, Carey “Boo” Mathis, of Lewiston; and one granddaughter, Latisha Appleby of Lewiston and her significant other, Ronald “Hoggie” Hogan, of Newburgh. Priscilla was predeceased by her husband, Allen E. Appleby. A graveside service for Priscilla will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, March 18, at Pilgrim’s Home Cemetery, Haley Road, Monroe, with the Rev. Dick Woehr officiating. Memorial contributions in Priscilla’s honor may be made to American Diabetes Association, 80 Elm St., Portland, ME 04101. <>
