NEWPORT – Donna W. Leighton, 86, died March 24, 2010, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. She was born Jan. 16, 1924, in Bridgewater, a daughter of John and Georgia (Nelson) Harris. She attended St. Albans and Hartland schools. She was predeceased by her husband, Owen Leighton; and two granddaughters, Terri-Lynn and Amy Lemieux. Donna is survived by a son, Paul and wife, Judy Brooks, of Corinna; a daughter, Maxine and husband, Miles Lemieux Jr., of Sangerville; a brother, Sherman and wife, Sandra Harris, of Corinna; a sister, Rowena and husband, Lewis McCloud, of St. Albans; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Private interment will be at Corinna Village Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Northern New England Chapter, 114 Perimeter Road, Nashua, NH 03063.
