BREWER – Jeanne A. (Levasseur) Limacher, sergeant, U.S. Marine Corps, 74, went to be with her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, Thursday, March 25, 2010. She was born Jan. 9, 1936, in Lowell, Mass., the daughter of Peter and Emilienne (Richard) Levasseur. Jeanne grew up in Lowell Mass., and graduated from Lowell High School. After high school, she spent six years in the U.S. Marine Corps. In 1963, Jeanne married Arthur J. Limacher and in 1970 they settled in Brewer. She enjoyed many hobbies, including cross-stitching, traveling, playing pool and cheering for the Red Sox. Jeanne was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3177 Ladies Auxiliary and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Brewer. She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. Jeanne is survived by her sons, Michael Limacher of Bangor, and David Limacher and his fiancee, Jennifer Siering, of Brewer; daughter, Michelle Limacher of Brewer; stepchildren, Arthur Limacher Jr. and his wife, Marjorie, of Burlington, Vt., Jocelyn Minard of Polaincourt, France, and Theresa Eddens of Salt Lake City; siblings, Florence McCann of Lowell, Mass., Loretta Lajoie of Nashua, N.H., Claire Montminy and her husband, Normand, of Lowell, Mass., Roger Levasseur of Nashua, N.H., Robert Levasseur and his wife, Elaine, of Marco Island, Fla., and Lorraine Levasseur of Brewer; grandchildren, Peter Limacher, Jacob Reed and Hannah Reed; many stepgrandchildren, great-stepgrandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Jeanne was predeceased by her loving husband of 39 years, Arthur J. Limacher. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Teresa’s Roman Catholic Church, 436 South Main St., Brewer.
