ELLSWORTH – Juanita J. Brown, 84, died March 25, 2010, at an Ellsworth hospital. She was born May 5, 1925, in Howland, the daughter of Charles R. and Eunice E. (Royal) Aldrich. Juanita was a very active member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Ellsworth, as well as being a senior home companion. She was living at Collier’s Rehabilitation and Living Center, where she enjoyed playing bingo and eating ice cream. She is survived by her daughter, Dora Anne Furman of Pickers, S.C.; two sisters, Gail MacKiewicz of Wallingford, Conn., and Muriel Hamilton and husband, George, of Hendersonville, N.C.; and two brothers, Earl Aldrich and wife, Margaret, of Clarksville, Tenn., and Duane Aldrich and wife, Charleen, of Lincoln. She was predeceased by her husband, Allen Brown; and two sisters, Roberta Miller and Charlene Lappas. Friends are invited to visit with the family 1-2 p.m. Sunday, March 28, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. with the Rev. Scott Connors, presiding. Spring interment will be at Woodbine Cemetery, Ellsworth.
