INDIAN ISLAND – Edwina Neptune, 83, passed away March 27, 2010, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Jan. 5, 1927, the daughter of Arthur and Mabel (Dana) Neptune. Edwina grew up and lived on Indian Island, where she was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church and Indian Island senior’s club. She loved to play bingo, cards and the slots. Edwina is survived by three children, Eileen McGillicuddy and her husband, Frank, Patrick Almenas and David Almenas and his significant other, Brenda Fields; two grandchildren, Sean Neptune and Neeburbunn Almenas-Lewis; three great-grandchildren, Zachary Neptune, Natanis Neptune and Ava Lindsey Lewis; her brother, Arnold Neptune; many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, Edwina was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bobcat Glossian; her granddaughter, Lindsey Almenas; and her six brothers, Harrison, Fernald, Melvin, Franklin, Clement and Arthur Neptune Jr. Family and friends are invited to call 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, at St. Ann’s Church, Indian Island, until the time of service 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, at the church.
