LEXINGTON, Mass., and BREWER – Kathryn M. (Hickey) Ortolano, formerly of Nashua, N.H, passed away March 25, 2010. Kathryn was active as an advocate for those with developmental disabilities. She was the wife of Dominic J. Ortolano; mother of Jean Lavigne and her partner, Pat Hofmaster, of Orono, Joanne Parhiala and her husband, Everett, of Lexington, Mass., Jay Ortolano of Lexington, Mass., and Brewer, Michael Ortolano and his wife, Laurie, of Litchfield, N.H., Mary Jakubowski of Brewer and Thomas Ortolano of Boston; and sister of Charles Hickey of Holbrook, Mass. Kathryn is also survived by seven grandchildren, Katelyn Parhiala, Patrick Parhiala, Mary Elizabeth Parhiala, Timothy Lavigne, Michael Ortolano, Vincent Ortolano and Kathryn Jakubowski. Visiting hours 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Road, Lexington, Mass. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, at St. Brigid Church, Lexington, Mass. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
