ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., and LEVANT – Evelina “Evie” Madore Kelley went to be with our Lord March 22, 2010, after many encounters with cancer. She was to celebrate her 87th birthday March 28, 2010. Evie and her husband, John Kelley, were very involved in the numismatic world, traveling all over the country. She received the Great Lady of the American Numismatic Association Award and made many wonderful friends. Evie and John were in the rare coin business most of their 42 years of marriage and settled in Albuquerque, N.M., in 1966. Evie had a great sense of humor and a captivating way about her. She is survived by her children: son, Lee Madore and wife, Patricia, of El Paso, Texas; daughter, Brenda Arnold and husband, Reginald, of Bangor; stepson, Wayne Kelley and partner, Sharon Northcutt, of Rocky Hill, Conn.; her stepdaughter, Deidra Mancuso and husband, Jack, of Tavares, Fla.; sister, Hildred Willey and husband, Donald, of Waupun, Wis.; her loving daughter-in-law, Gordon’s wife, Juanita Madore; her dear friend, John Morgan of Albuquerque, N.M.; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Evie was predeceased by her first husband, A. Robert Madore of Bangor; her late husband, John Kelley; her daughter, Janice Samson and Janice’s son, Gregory; her son, Gordon Madore; her brother, Herbert Partridge; and a devoted friend and neighbor, Renie Lindblom. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
